Plain language summary: Thingz is a B2B service. Use it for legitimate business purposes, do not abuse it. Your data is yours. Early access pricing is locked for 12 months. By creating an account or using Thingz, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
These terms form a contract between you (or the organisation you represent) and the operator of Thingz, TYROU Grégoire, an Entreprise Individuelle registered in France (SIREN 981 883 655).
If you are using Thingz on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
Thingz is a business-to-business (B2B) service, intended exclusively for use by registered businesses and organisations. By creating an account and subscribing, you represent and warrant that you are acting on behalf of, and purchasing for, a registered business.
Thingz is not intended for personal or consumer use. Consumer protection regulations that apply specifically to natural persons acting outside of a professional capacity do not apply to your use of this service.
Thingz is a coordination platform that helps organisations track commitments, actions, and knowledge across teams, tools, and company boundaries. The service includes a web application, Microsoft Teams and Slack integrations, Microsoft Office add-ins, browser extensions, and AI features including Carson, the automated follow-up manager.
The service is accessible at app.thingzapp.com and through the integrations listed above.
Thingz is currently in early access. Features, limits, and integrations may change as the product develops. We will notify users of material changes.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with reasonable notice where possible.
To use Thingz, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:
You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their permission. You may not share your account credentials with other people.
Accounts are not suspended for inactivity. Suspension occurs only if your trial ends without upgrading to a paid plan, or if a payment fails and is not resolved within the applicable grace period.
Your team size is the number of internal users (Admin, Project Manager or Project Member) on your plan. Each one includes one external Stakeholder slot. Stakeholders are external parties (clients, partners, suppliers) who receive and respond to hacktions via Teams, Slack, or email without requiring a Thingz account. Additional Stakeholder slots are available on request.
You agree to use Thingz only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these terms. You must not:

Thingz is currently in early access. During this period:
Thingz offers a limited number of design partnerships to selected business teams. A design partnership gives free access to the full feature set, including beta features, in exchange for real usage and feedback.
Eligibility. Design partnerships are open to registered businesses and organisations only (see section 2). Places are limited. Thingz selects design partners at its discretion and may decline an application without giving reasons.

Thingz may waive any of these conditions after discussion. We will not use your name, logo or quotes publicly without your written consent.
Limits. Usage beyond the limits above requires a paid plan or an additional purchase, or may be paused.
Beta features, no guarantees. Features may change, break or be removed. No service level commitment applies to design partnerships.
Duration and end. The partnership lasts 6 months from its start date. Thingz gives at least 30 days notice before it ends. Either party may end it at any time by email. Thingz may end it with 30 days notice if the conditions above are not met, and immediately in case of misuse or breach of these terms.
After the partnership. You may subscribe to a paid plan at the then-current pricing. If you do not, your account is treated like an account whose trial has ended, and your data is handled as described in section 9. You can export your data on request.
Confidentiality. Each party keeps confidential any non-public information shared during the partnership, including unreleased features and feedback discussions. This does not apply to information that is or becomes public through no fault of the receiving party.
Thingz uses Stripe as its payment processor. All billing is handled by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Each team member is priced at the rate shown on the pricing page. Current pricing is available at thingzapp.com/pricing.
Each plan includes a monthly AI usage allowance proportional to your team size. This allowance covers usage of Carson, the AI assistant and follow-up manager. When the allowance is reached, AI features are paused until the next billing cycle or until additional usage is purchased.
Additional AI usage credit (token top-ups) can be purchased at any time from your billing settings. Token top-ups are non-refundable and valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
No refunds are issued for partial subscription periods, except where required by applicable law. This applies to both subscriptions and token top-ups.
Applicable taxes, including VAT where required, are shown on your invoice. The applicable tax treatment is determined by your billing address and business status.
Failure to pay may result in suspension of access after a grace period. We will notify you by email before any suspension occurs.
Your data belongs to you. Thingz does not claim ownership over any content, actions, or data you create within the service.
By using Thingz, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your data for the sole purpose of providing the service to you.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. Our full data practices are described in our Privacy Policy.
Upon termination of your account, your data will be deleted within 180 days, unless we are required by law to retain it longer. If your account is deactivated, you will be notified in advance and given the opportunity to export your data before deletion occurs.
We aim to keep Thingz available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We are not liable for any loss or damage caused by downtime, data loss, or service interruptions, except where required by applicable law.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned maintenance or known outages.
To the maximum extent permitted by French law, Thingz and its operator are not liable for:
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the use of Thingz is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under French law.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at hello@thingzapp.com. We will process your request and delete your data within 180 days.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the breach.
On termination, your right to access the service ends immediately. Provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination — including data deletion, limitation of liability, and governing law — will continue to apply.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days in advance.
Your continued use of Thingz after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you may close your account before they take effect.
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent French courts.
As Thingz is a B2B service, the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform for consumers does not apply. Business disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent French commercial courts.
