By creating an account or using Thingz, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
These terms form a contract between you (or the organisation you represent) and the operator of Thingz, Grégoire Sempe, based in France.
If you are using Thingz on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
Thingz is a coordination and action-tracking platform that helps organisations track commitments and actions across teams, tools, and company boundaries. The service is accessible at app.thingzapp.com.
Thingz is currently in early access. Features, pricing, and availability may change as the product develops. We will notify users of material changes.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with reasonable notice where possible.
To use Thingz, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:

Accounts that remain inactive for an extended period may be deactivated. You will receive advance notice by email before any deactivation occurs.

The early access pricing lock applies only to the plan and seat count at the time of signup. Additional seats or plan upgrades are subject to pricing at the time of the change.
Thingz does not currently charge for access during the early access period. When paid plans are introduced:
Early access customers will receive advance notice before any billing begins.
Your data belongs to you. Thingz does not claim ownership over any content, actions, or data you create within the service.
By using Thingz, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your data for the sole purpose of providing the service to you.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. Our full data practices are described in our Privacy Policy.
Upon termination of your account, your data will be deleted within 30 days, unless we are required by law to retain it.
We aim to keep Thingz available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We are not liable for any loss or damage caused by downtime, data loss, or service interruptions, except where required by applicable law.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned maintenance or known outages.
To the maximum extent permitted by French law, Thingz and its operator are not liable for:
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the use of Thingz is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim. For free accounts, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under French law.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at hello@thingzapp.com. We will process your request and delete your data within 30 days.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the breach.
On termination, your right to access the service ends immediately. Provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination — including data deletion, limitation of liability, and governing law — will continue to apply.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days in advance.
Your continued use of Thingz after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you may close your account before they take effect.
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent French courts.
